About me
My vision is to empower women to step into positions of power and lead within themselves and their careers.
I am an accredited Women in Leadership and Life Coach and my journey is fuelled by a passion to empower women to embrace their full potential and lead confidently in every aspect of life.
With a diverse background that encompasses Management and Senior Management roles in the arts, not-for-profits, luxury real estate, and marketing agencies, I've woven a unique blend of skills that enable me to inspire and guide others on their transformative journeys.
Coupled with my Positive Psychology accreditation and general ‘glass half full’ outlook on life, I believe there isn’t anything we cannot come back from.
What do I know about working with women?
I have been working with women through life and career transitions for the last 4 years.
My career includes 20 years in brand and marketing strategy, I’ve experienced what it’s like as a woman trying to lead departments, teams, and projects in competitive, high-pressured, and sometimes combative environments.
I spent 3 years on the Australian National Committee for UN Women and now on the Board of the Creative Women’s Circle as the Marketing & Communications Member demonstrating my commitment to driving change.
I am a passionate advocate for women and girls in the world currently applying to be a delegate for the CSW (Commission on the Status of Women) with UN Women.
My journey is a testament to my belief that every woman possesses the potential to be a trailblazer. I invite you to join me as we navigate this path together, amplifying the voices of women and making strides towards lasting transformation.
Why am I here?
Economic empowerment is key to a gender equal world we all know that when we are given equal opportunity to education, income and leadership positions, we all thrive! Let’s see how that’s working out for us. The SDG are a collection of 17 global goals set by the UN that we ideally want to reach by 2030 - if we don’t our planet is basically screwed.
The theme of Investing in women, accelerate her progress relates to the first 5 goals of the SDG, like ending poverty and shifting to a green economy but economic empowerment relates specifically to Number 5 - Gender Equality.
Halfway to 2030 and the world is failing women and girls massively!
Currently $360 Billion per year is needed to achieve gender equality and women’s empowerment across key global goals, including poverty and hunger. With less than 27% of women in parliament, 36% in local government and 28% in management positions in the workplace, how do you think that’s going to happen?
If we don’t get more females in positions of power including you, men stay there and make decisions for all of us. I don’t need to give you evidence of how well that’s working out for us, just look around.
